Ordinate Sf "Abstand von der horizontalen Achse in einem Koordinatensystem" per. Wortschatz fach. (18. Jh.) Entlehnung. Entlehnt aus l. (līnea) ōrdināta "geordnete Linie", zu l. ōrdinātus "geordnet, ordentlich", dem PPP. von l. ōrdināre "ordnen, in Reihen aufstellen" (ordinieren).
